Was it Photoshopped or is it real footage? If it is real, then bad guys - your life is about to get very interesting...

Microsoft has a minority shareholding in Facebook, the world's biggest Social Network. But who is responsible for all search that happens in Facebook? Answer - Bing, the Microsoft run Search Engine. 2012 looks like it will see both firms take a larger slice of the ever precious Search market and business from Google. The search business is massive, and has been successful monetized by Google and now Bing and Facebook. They will combine this synergy in 2012 and Social Assisted Search will impress a lot of people this year.

Social media networks will become even more important to businesses in 2012. We saw in 2011 how Facebook’s social search and find abilities were incorporated into Bing's search engine. Meanwhile, Google+ arrived in style with native integration into Google search. Companies also experimenting with Social Media so as to influence their rankings used these useful social factors. And with social media becoming a bigger part of search engine algorithms in 2012 - companies willing to improve their rankings will use social marketing activities as drivers to their success.

Cathy asked me today why there is a cool Wibiya toolbar on the bottom of this website? I told her it helps people to know that there is important information and useful content on the website and they can share it using lots of social media like Twitter and Facebook and more. And that it gave the website a Stickiness Factor. She knows this already and then asked what is the stickiness thingy. So I told her.

A study found that 34% of Americans utilize smartphones and this will rise in 2012. Travel related click-through-rates are already higher on mobile devices than on PCs. Companies like Foursquare have never had it so good!

And now it seems - since we love buying with our mobiles more and more - Google reckons some 44% of last-minute online shopping searches over the Christmas period came from smartphones and tablets.

Marketers are discovering opportunities to zero in on specific user scenarios that they were previously unable to address using pure traditional online marketing tactics. Mobile smart media is going to see some new big business changes and new business app markets open as a result. It's a great time to be proficient in Mobile App development.

Ebooks look set to grow even more in sales in 2012

So yes, it is not exactly a big secret. EBooks are going down a storm and apparently the December Sales of eBooks at Amazon were the best ever recorded since this company began! But look how many writers who are self-publishing are doing well from the explosion in ebooks on the net now?

We have seldom seen anything like the lower prices in books, the lower cost of ebook readers. I even read last week that the experts are reckoning we could see e-readers soon coming out for prices as low as $50 soon. As the eBook technology takes hold and as legacy publishing goes through more changes, the market is no where near saturation yet! Book writers are finding clever ways to market their books using Facebook, Twitter and Blogs in combination to fulfill sales and followings!
